A century of history…

Our story begins about a century ago, when our ice cream shop owned two other locations: one in via Cavana and the other in viale XX Settembre where the two Zampolli brothers, Michele and Giovanni, began producing ice creams around the 1930s. The company then passed into the hands of the Piccin’s family and, today, of Giulio Piccin. Him, together with his wife Gabriella and their daughters, remains faithful to the artisanalality of the Zampolli family.

An artisanality which is, in fact, precisely the strength of our ice creams with a genuine aroma and taste, today as then.

…For a perfect little ball

The portioner, with which we serve our ice cream, was imported to Trieste by another member of the Zampolli family: Antonio.

In the 1930s he could in fact be found distributing ice cream from a cart with this very tool, patented in Pittsburgh by Alfred Cralle, which he had obtained from American sailors.
